Eric Stonestreet ended 2025 with a sweet tribute to his wife, Lindsay Schweitzer
The Modern Family alum and the pediatric nurse tied the knot in their Missouri home in September
Stonestreet and Schweitzer met at a charity event in 2016 before PEOPLE confirmed their relationship in 2017
Eric Stonestreet will remember 2025 as one of the best years ever, thanks to his wedding to Lindsay Schweitzer.
“Good luck topping my 2025, 2026,” the Modern Family star, 54, captioned a social media post on Wednesday, Dec. 31, recapping precious moments from his September wedding to the pediatric nurse.
The actor's Instagram carousel began with a photo of the couple standing together, dressed in bride-and-groom attire, smiling as they looked at the camera and locked arms in front of a fireplace.

Stonestreet also thanked country stars Brothers Osborne for "making the day even more special."
Additional photos showed Stonestreet and Schweitzer walking down the aisle together as she held a bouquet, as well as the newlyweds slow dancing together while the band played.
Stonestreet and Schweitzer began dating after the two met in June 2016 during the Big Slick charity weekend, PEOPLE confirmed in 2017.
After proposing to Schweitzer in 2021, the Santa Clauses actor spoke to PEOPLE about what made his fiancée special.
"Humor is such an important part of my life, and she allows me to be humorous," he told PEOPLE in March 2022. "I joke all the time that she's uniquely qualified to be my [partner] because she can put up with me."
He also praised her for being "a great mom" to her twin sons from a previous relationship.
The couple’s wedding also coincided with another special occasion.
"It's my birthday and guess what I got," Stonestreet announced via Instagram on Sept. 9. PEOPLE confirmed that their ceremony was held on Sept. 8, just one day after he turned 54.
The couple tied the knot at their home in Kansas City, Mo.

Stonestreet's Modern Family costar and on-screen husband Jesse Tyler Ferguson commented, "Of all second marriages, this one is my favorite! I love you both! I'm so happy for you!!!!"
"Congratulations! So happy for you both," Octavia Spencer added.
Months before Stonestreet and Schweitzer’s wedding at their custom-built Missouri home, the Secret Life of Pets actor joked to PEOPLE that the end goal for building their house was always so that they could eventually have their wedding at their residence.

"Well, I've said we're building a house to host a wedding, and we're still on track to do that," Stonestreet said in July. "We're almost done with the house, and that's been our plan all along."
