Entertainment Tonight's Nischelle Turner is speaking out after she received criticism on her 2026 Golden Globes red carpet look.
Turner, who reported live from the red carpet before the ceremony on Jan. 11, wore a strapless white column gown with a sweetheart neckline. The same night, though, Turner sparked buzz online after multiple viewers commented on the state of her dress, particularly that it was ill-fitting.
The day after, Turner, 50, addressed the commentary subtly and with an air of humor, sharing a recap of her night captioned with, "Who knew a dress could make folks this rowdy! ! love the conversation about couture! Happy day after the Globes y’all!" But then she decided to respond to the hate directly on Threads.

"This is me and just so you are informed and not spouting off at the mouth about something and someone you don’t know," she wrote on the Jan. 12 post. She further explained that she nearly avoided a wardrobe malfunction due to technical difficulties.
"I had a mic pack in the back of my dress that stretched it out and kept making the dress slip. But I was in a LIVE show and had no other choice but to keep doing my job. Feel better now? Have a great day!"
With awards season full steam ahead, fans might get to see more of Turner interviewing Hollywood's biggest stars. Although, Turner is also branching out with her career beyond the carpet.
In December, the Emmy-winning Entertainment Tonight host flipped the script and took on a whole new role in the Lifetime holiday movie A Runaway Bride for Christmas. In an interview with PEOPLE, Turner said she got the gig after an executive at A&E network saw her host an awards gala earlier that year. "They said you can choose whatever role you want, and the weirdo overachiever in me said, 'How about I just be the lead?'"
