And the Golden Globe for worst bleeping goes to ... the Golden Globes.

The 2026 awards show censors failed to completely bleep out an F-bomb during Sunday's live show.

When *Adolescence* star Erin Doherty won Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Television Series, she dropped a few curse words in her speech. While that's normal for winners shocked at their good fortune, it's rare for viewers at home to hear them — and one of Doherty's swear words actually managed to slip through CBS censors in the telecast.

"I made a promise to my mom I wouldn't swear, but what the f---?" Doherty said at the beginning of her speech.

While "what the" was fully bleeped out, the offending word of "f---" accidentally came through loud and clear.

"Holy s---," Doherty added (which was successfully bleeped). "Sorry, mom."

The *Adolescence* star went on to thank the show creators Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne, director Philip Barantini, and her costars Hannah Walters and Owen Cooper.

"This experience for me was entirely molded from within the interview room of that set for episode 3," Doherty said. "Each of you lives in every breath of that scene, and it wouldn't be what it is without you. And you're at the core of why I'm so deeply, unspeakably proud to be a part of this gorgeous piece of work."

She also made sure to shout out all therapists, and dedicated her performance as forensic psychologist Briony Ariston to those who do the work in real life.

"I didn't want to assume, but I feel like we all know therapists," Doherty said. "I just think life can be tough. Mental health is everything, so thank you to therapists. It was an honor to play one, so thank you so much."

Doherty beat out fellow nominees Carrie Coon for *The White Lotus, *Hannah Einbinder for *Hacks, *Catherine O'Hara for *The Studio, *Parker Posey for *The White Lotus, *and Aimee Lou Wood for *The White Lotus.*

Netflix's *Adolescence* is a four-episode limited series about the family of Jamie Miller (Cooper), a teenage boy accused of stabbing to death his female classmate. Each one-take episode chronicles his story, from his arrest and the police investigation to one of Jamie's sessions with child psychologist Briony and a day with his family as they continue to struggle with their new reality.
