Hayley Williams targeted Donald Trump and his followers during a performance in New Orleans over the weekend, using strong language to describe them while urging her audience to participate in November's election.
The 37-year-old Paramore frontwoman was on stage in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, October 10, when the politically engaged artist criticized the president and his MAGA movement.
Her recent comments follow several weeks of political commentary at various performances nationwide, including statements opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement and calls to "Free Palestine!" During the latest concert, part of her The Hayley Williams Show solo tour, she directed sharper criticism at the MAGA movement and Trump's base, calling them "pieces of s–t."

She also stated that "The KKK look different" while pressing her audience to cast their ballots in the approaching November midterm elections. "Please f–king vote in November," she told attendees, according to footage that has spread across social media following the performance.
"The KKK look different and they will not win." The Ku Klux Klan is an American white supremacist organization with a history of violence.

Williams' message arrives just weeks ahead of the November 3 midterms, with control of Congress at stake in both the House of Representatives and Senate.
All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are up for re-election, with roughly 50 considered competitive and capable of shifting control of the House from Republicans to Democrats, while 33 of 50 Senate seats are being contested.
Historically, midterm elections often result in the balance of power in Congress moving to the opposing political party from the sitting White House administration.
Yet in 2022, despite Joe Biden serving as president, Democrats successfully retained the Senate, although Republicans did secure control of the House of Representatives. A similar pattern emerged during Trump's initial term in the White House, with his Midterms resulting in Republicans maintaining the Senate while Democrats seized control of the House.

Based on Real Clear Politics Polling, the Senate race is currently neck and neck, with eight contests determining the balance of power, while the House indicates Democrats controlling 226 seats compared to Republicans' 189, with 20 toss-ups.
Williams encouraging her supporters to vote follows just days after her previous statement, made at an October 3 performance in Chula Vista, California, near San Diego.
During her rendition of the song Ice in My OJ, she shouted 'f–k ICE' and 'Free Palestine. ' Previous tour dates saw her describe Christian nationalism as "the greatest threat to American democracy" as well.
Her remarks came as she wrapped up the U.S. portion of her tour, which will now head overseas starting on November 9. As the tour travels to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Brussels, France and the UK, it remains uncertain whether she will maintain her political advocacy beyond American borders.
