Jason Aldean Reveals Conversation With Wife Brittany Before Duet

Jason Aldeanis getting honest about the tricky moment that came before recording a duet with his wife, Brittany Aldean.

While working on his latest album Songs About Us, the country star revealed he wasn’t entirely sure how things would go once Brittany stepped into the studio for the first time.

“We're gonna go try this. If it's bad, it's not going on the record, you know, it's kind of a tough conversation to have with your wife,” he admitted in an interview with Amazon Music which he shared to Instagram on Friday, May 1.

The hesitation came from the unknown. “She had never been in the studio before and so to take her in, it was like I kind of didn't know what to expect either,” Jason, 49, explained. But his doubts quickly faded once they got started. “We went in there and, and she crushed it. It turned out awesome.”

The result was “Easier Gone,” and during a recent live show, Jason shared that the collaboration had been in the works for a while, but he wasn’t going to force it. Instead, the right song had to come along organically. Once it did, he knew Brittany, 37, was the perfect fit, praising her ability to harmonize and calling her “a really great singer.”

Jason hinted that fans may not have seen the last of Brittany in the studio, or even on stage. “Who knows, you may see more of that stuff in the future; you might even see it live at some point” he teased to the crowd in a video shared by Country Now on Facebook April 24.

Beyond the music, the couple’s dynamic is refreshingly human. Jason has previously shared that while they don’t always agree, they’ve learned to move past disagreements rather than let them linger. "I just think that sometimes you realize that you're just not always going to see eye to eye on things,” he shared with Fox News Digital on April 28.
