Lil Wayne didn't show up for a scheduled concert Tuesday that had been scheduled to take place at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine.
While the New Orleans rapper's scheduled opener, 2 Chainz, took the stage, and a DJ played some tracks, Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., never appeared, according to local media.
The *Bangor Daily News* reported that Lil Wayne's allotted time had been set for 10:45 p.m. However, the crowd had been told by 11 p.m. that the show was over, and he wouldn't be there after all.

Fans made their disappointment known.
"Well, I came here for Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, and it was the most terrible experience," concertgoer Rita Sack, who said she had driven in from Nova Scotia, told news station WABI. "We drove over six hours to be here."
She was upset that she hadn't heard from the "Lollipop" artist himself.
"We paid for Lil Wayne," she said. "The least you can do is come out for a minute, apologize, you know? Like, just take the moment and be like, 'Hey guys, sorry, not feeling it, feeling a little sick.'"

Another supporter, Makayla Sullivan, who has the rapper's face tattooed on her torso, said she had traveled from Rhode Island.
"Usually he's always late," Sullivan said. "I've been to like 50 concerts. We're always front row. And I kept telling my friends, 'He's coming, he’s coming.'"

The set was supposed to be the first on a tour called 20 Years of Carter Classics, which focuses on his series of albums that used his last name.
His last string of dates, Tha Carter VI Tour, wrapped up in October, after dozens of shows, and the new tour ends in October, following stops in Chicago; Long Beach, Calif.; Denver; and Fort Worth, Tex.
The *Bangor Daily News *noted that the Grammy winner has also missed shows in cities including Toronto, Miami, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles over the years.
He's scheduled to perform Thursday in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
