Ahead of a joint appearance with Prince Harry in Nottingham, Meghan Markle stepped out for a London lunch date on October 14 with a meaningful longtime acquaintance. The Duchess of Sussex—who is scheduled to join Harry for their first official joint outing in the U.K. on Thursday—enjoyed a meal at The Park restaurant with hairstylist George Northwood, who is responsible for one of her most iconic beauty looks.

In photos shared by Hello!, Meghan paired a black top with a black M&S blazer with silky wide lapels. Styling her dark brown hair in a bouncy middle-parted blowout, the As Ever founder added a California casual twist to her office-ready look with light-wash cropped jeans that hit her ankle, showing off a pair of nude Jennifer Chamandi Mary Jane-style stilettos. Meghan slung a black leather quilted bag on a gold chain over one shoulder and accentuated her features with a soft smoky eyeshadow and sculpted cheekbones.

Northwood has helped bring some of Meghan’s best hair moments to life, including famously constructing the piecey, ‘90s-inspired bun with face-framing pieces that she wore during her 2018 wedding reception. She changed out of her tiara and boatneck Givenchy wedding dress for the Frogmore Cottage after-party, showing off her Stella McCartney turtleneck dress’s high neckline and open back with her effortless updo. Northmore also joined Meghan during her royal tours in Australia and Tonga in 2018.

According to the publication, the duo dined for two hours together at the restaurant, which is near Kensington Palace. It’s unknown whether Northwood will be part of Meghan’s glam squad for her visit to the Community Recording Studio, a youth and community charity, with Prince Harry on October 15.
The Suits alum will join her husband for cooking classes as well as the preparation of food parcels at a food bank, before heading to a second event celebrating the legacy of Meghan’s Together: Our Community Cookbook. Proceeds from the successful 2018 book continue to support victims of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire.
