North West, 12, dropped her debut six-song EP, "N0rth4evr," on Friday.
Perhaps inspired by her famous rapper father, Ye, North's lyrics focus on money and luxury items.
One of the songs, “H0w Sh0uld ! f33l,” samples an emo classic from 2006, “Monster” by Meg & Dia.
No one man should have all that power — so Ye is sharing the musical talent with his daughter, North West.
The 12-year-old just dropped her debut EP, N0rth4evr, a collection of six rap-rock tracks she wrote and produced herself.

Ye is obviously a big influence on North, whose lyrics boast about wealth, cars, and designer labels.
But another inspiration is a genre of music the rapper has occasionally experimented with: emo.
The opener, “H0w Sh0uld ! f33l” (“How Should I Feel”), samples “Monster” by Meg & Dia, sisters who scored a one-hit wonder back in 2006, years before North was a twinkle in her father’s eye.
“I been living in a shadow / All this money turn my heart into a black hole,” the blue-haired artist rap-sings on the track. Several verses later, she laments it gets lonely “in the back of the Lamb’ (Lamborghini).”
On the fourth song, “Th!s t!m3,” North tells listeners “Welcome to your nightmare." Two decades ago, Ye said, “See You in My Nightmares” on 808s & Heartbreak.
Like her dad, North gets into her feelings. “Know it’s been a hard time for me lately / I’ve been deep in the dark you can’t save me,” she admits on title track “#N0rth4evr.”

Interestingly, on “W0ah,” she brags about “Balenciaga everything,” despite the French fashion label severing its ties with Ye in 2022 following the controversial rapper’s antisemitic remarks.

Ye has yet to publicly share his thoughts on N0rth4evr, but he’s been a mentor to his daughter for years.
At the age of 6, she made her music debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2020. As models walked the runway at her father’s Yeezy show, North stood onstage with a microphone performing an original song.
This year, she’s popped up twice at Ye’s concerts. In January, North surprised 40,000 fans at the Monumental Plaza de Toros in Tijuana with the first live performance of “Piercing on My Hand.”
It was an even bigger crowd at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where she staged two songs for the 70,000-member, sold-out crowd on April 1.

North’s equally famous mother, Kim Kardashian, showed her support on Friday by posting links to listen to the EP and buy merchandise, like a N0rth4evr-branded keychain, for her 352 million followers on Instagram.
