New episodes of Special Forces premiere on Thursdays.
Oliver Hudson has some fatherly advice for Collin Gosselin.
“Can I say one thing to you real quick?” Hudson asked Gosselin in Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of Thursday’s episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. “All your intentions are great, it’s just about tone, as a young boy.”
Hudson added, “Sometimes when you talk, it’s like you don’t trust that I know things as well.”
Hudson’s comment came after the Special Forces Directorial Staff (DS) called the celebrity recruits to “load up.” Gosselin checked in on his fellow cast members, signing off when people were “good to go” before worrying if everyone’s canteen was “full.”
At one point, Gosselin noted, “We’re going to be late,” as cameras panned to Hudson looking visibly stressed. “Oliver, come on, you ready?” theJon & Kate Plus 8 alum added. “You should just stay ready.”
Hudson offered is words of wisdom after Gosselin told the cast to “push it out, guys” before their next task. “Come on, together,” the former TLC star added. Elsewhere in the clip, Gosselin was worried about “consequences” if they were late.
“That’s my advice to you, in this, but in life in general,” Hudson continued. “That will help you with your friends and chicks and all that s---. You know what I mean? That’s it.”
After the conversation with Hudson, Gosselin was shown reflecting on his childhood in a confessional.

“At a very young age I was just kind of like thrown into this world of of TV cameras and lights. You really feel alone and it’s just hard to be yourself,” he said. “People coming and going out of my life and not being able to build stable relationships.”
Despite Gosselin’s thoughts about how his upbringing in the public eye has impacted him, Special Forces costar Candace Cameron Bure praised the 21-year-old while chatting with EW about her time on the show. (Gosselin further detailed his life as the son of Jon and Kate Gosselin in his memoir, In the Shadow of the Eight, published Tuesday.)

“You know who was great was Collin Gosselin, because he had been in the military,” Bure explained. “He was our room leader because he knew how to keep those barracks clean in the sense of how it would be regulated.”
The Full House alum recalled Gosselin as “the first one up,” always “organizing” their living space. “We all just took Collin’s lead,” she added. We were trying to keep that place as clean as possible.”
Bure concluded, “It was pretty great.”
