Ruby Rose hospitalized after breaking multiple ribs in pool accident

Ruby Rose took a painful fall and ended up in the hospital, sharing footage of the incident.

The model-actress took to her Instagram stories early Tuesday, June 30, sharing home surveillance video of her holding a hose while walking on the edge of her pool before slipping, hitting a wall and the edge of the pool before falling into the water. She soundtracked the clip with "There She Goes" by The La's.

"RIP to my ribs, and to the rest of my summer. They are broken, multiple," Rose, 28, wrote with a laughing emoji alongside the video. "Straight to hospital, did not pass go or collect 200 dollars."

On Threads, the "Orange is the New Black" actress added, "One second I'm here talking to you. The next I'm in the hopital [sic] with two broken ribs. What a bloody Monday."

USA TODAY has reached out to Rose's rep for comment.

She later questioned how she returned to filming "Batwoman" a day after "breaking my rib and neck," a seemingly worse injury.

"My rib was killing me!! I couldnt feel my legs or hands, I was in a batsuit!" she wrote. "I've just broken two ribs, falling into my own pool backwards, 🤣 and you couldn't pay me to put a bra on, let alone stand up. Send good book and show recommendations this is going to take many weeks."

Rose, who exited the show in May 2020, has previously claimed that show executives for the CW series created an unsafe and hostile work environment, including one incident in which she said she was forced to return to work 10 days after undergoing surgery for an injury on set.

Warner Bros. denied the accusations in a lengthy statement at the time, calling them "defamatory and damaging" and "revisionist history."
