Iman Shumpert shared photos of his daughters Rue and Junie attending their first day back at school after summer vacation.

He was joined by his ex-wife actress Teyana Taylor.

The pair split in 2023.

Teyana Taylor and her ex-husband Iman Shumpert appear to have come together to support their daughters, Iman Tayla Jr. “Junie”, 10, and Rue, 5, on their first day back at school. The former basketball player shared a few photos of the milestone on Instagram alongside the caption, “First Day ✏️.” In the snaps, their daughters posed happily in their first day outfits. In one photo, their mom crouched beside them before they went into the school.

Taylor has recently made a few other appearances with her daughters. In May, the trio appeared together on the red carpet at the AMAs as well as stepping out for a courtside family day out at a WNBA game.

Taylor and Shumpert married in 2016 and split in 2023, before finalizing their divorce in 2024.

Speaking to Vanity Fair this year, Taylor opened up about navigating the split. “Divorce, to me, is you’re grieving the death of a living being,” she said, adding, “Once children are involved, you understand the importance of really still having to show up for each other.”

Shumpert also recently shared his thoughts on their co-parenting set-up. “We’ve been divorced a year now. We’ve got joint custody of the kids, so I got to see the kids when I got to see the kids,” Shumpert said on the “Tap In With TT” podcast last year. “She’s got to see the kids when she’s got to see the kids. Which, it’s cool. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
