Taylor plays aspiring lawyer Milan in All's Fair

Teyana Taylor is opening up about her experience working with Kim Kardashian on All's Fair.

The One Battle After Another star says it was "really good" to work with the Skims founder on the Hulu legal drama.

"Well, we were already friends before, but honestly, the show really brought us closer," Taylor, 35, says of her bond with Kardashian, 45. "We really went into the show friends and finished out the show as sisters."

Taylor found that really "important."

"It was really good to get to go to work to her every single day," she says. "And all of the ladies, we really, really formed a sisterhood."

Taylor is grateful she's enjoyed working with everyone on the show.

"I've been super lucky to be able to go to work to people that I actually love on every set that I've been on," she notes.

Taylor was professionally connected to Kardashian's ex-husband Kanye West, whom she met during his Glow in the Dark tour in 2008.

The "Bed of Roses" artist provided background vocals on West's 2010 track "Dark Fantasy" and in 2012 she signed to the now-24-time Grammy winner's G.O.O.D Music label and Def Jam.

Taylor also starred in the music video for West's 2016 track "Fade," which he also directed.

All's Fair, which premiered in November, follows a team of high-powered female divorce attorneys who leave a male-dominated firm to start their own practice.

The show stars Kardashian, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson and Taylor.

In the show, Kardashian stars as Allura Grant, who, alongside a group of her female colleagues, opens their own practice.

Meanwhile, Taylor stars as Milan, an aspiring lawyer and mentee to Kardashian’s Allura, who has a secret.

“Milan is the baby of the group and has stripes to earn and is figuring out how to navigate it,” Taylor told PEOPLE in an October digital cover story. “Allura is gracious enough to help her navigate, even though Milan has made mistakes."

She continued, "It’s important because it shows community — and shows we won’t let men come between that community.”
