Zayn Malik is putting his health first ahead of his anticipated tour.
On Friday, May 1, the "Pillowtalk" singer announced that he's canceling his U.S. tour dates following several hospitalizations in April. The news comes two weeks after he released his new album Konnakol, after which the tour is named. The tour was to be his first time headlining arenas and stadiums as a solo artist.
"To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you've shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I've felt it, and it's meant the world. I've been at home recovering and I'm doing well and will be better and stronger than before," he began his Instagram Stories.
"I've had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL tour. I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I'm really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon." The musician signed off his story, "Big Love, Z."

Details surrounding Malik's hospitalization remain unknown. He was hospitalized in April, which led to the cancellation of several scheduled appearances at fan events for his fifth studio album.
“Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding," he wrote on his Instagram Stories on April 17, sharing a picture of himself in a hospital bed. Malik also thanked the "the incredible hospital staff" of doctors, nurses, cardiologists, and administrative workers.
